The Lake Travis Cavaliers will head out on the road to take on the Bowie Bulldogs at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lake Travis is looking to tack on another W to their eight-game streak on the road.
Lake Travis can now show off 14 landslide victories after their most recent game on Friday. They put the hurt on Austin with a sharp 65-43 victory. Given Lake Travis' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 13th, while the Maroons are ranked 582nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Lake Travis' victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jayden Thomas, who scored 16 points. Adrian Mathis was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with three steals.
Meanwhile, after a string of six wins, Bowie's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell 52-45 to Westlake.
Lake Travis has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 27-4 record this season. As for Bowie, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 21-9.
Lake Travis strolled past the Bulldogs when the teams last played back in January by a score of 67-49. The rematch might be a little tougher for Lake Travis since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
