After having lost a blowout in their previous game against New Fairfield, the Hendrick Hudson Sailors were happy to have found some success on Thursday. They really took it to Peekskill for the full four quarters, racking up a 71-24 victory on the road. That 71-24 margin sets a new team best for Hendrick Hudson this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Hendrick Hudson to victory, but perhaps none more so than Elyse Smith, who scored 13 points along with six steals. Those 13 points set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Kaitlyn Raguso, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 rebounds.
Hendrick Hudson's victory bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Peekskill, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-5.
Hendrick Hudson will be playing in front of their home fans against Sleepy Hollow at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Peekskill won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Scarsdale at 4:30 p.m. on January 12th.
