Bishop Foley is 9-1 against Cabrini since March of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Ventures will be playing at home against the Monarchs at 5:30 p.m. Cabrini took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Bishop Foley, who comes in off a win.
On Tuesday, Bishop Foley got the win against Our Lady of the Lakes by a conclusive 12-2. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Ventures.

Mason Kanar made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He struck out nine batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits. Bishop Foley is undefeated when Kanar allows two or fewer earned runs, but 2-4 otherwise. Kanar was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.
In other batting news, Cooper Dolot was a standout: he got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs, one double, and one RBI. He also put up two hits, which were his first of the season. Tyler Vogel was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.
Bishop Foley always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .536. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Cabrini fell victim to Cranbrook Kingswood and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cranes. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Monarchs haven't been shut out since back in March.
Cabrini saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Andrew Ostrowski, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.
Bishop Foley pushed their record up to 5-4 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games. As for Cabrini, their loss dropped their record down to 4-7.
Bishop Foley came out on top in a nail-biter against Cabrini when the teams last played back in April of 2024, sneaking past 7-5. Will the Ventures repeat their success, or do the Monarchs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
