Walsh Jesuit fell just short of Lake Catholic by a score of 46-44. Walsh Jesuit has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Leading Lake Catholic to victory were Cross Nimmo and Ace Peterlin. Nimmo scored 11 points along with nine rebounds, while Peterlin scored 18 points.
Walsh Jesuit now has a losing record at 6-7. As for Lake Catholic, their victory bumped their record up to 6-8.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Walsh Jesuit will square off against Euclid at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Euclid is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak. As for Lake Catholic, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Villa Angela-St. Joseph at 7:00 p.m. on January 27th. Averaging 68.8 so far this season, Villa Angela-St. Joseph's high-powered offense has been in full-swing lately, so Lake Catholic better be ready for a challenge.
