4A District 3 recap November 5, 2013
Deming added to the longest winning streak in 4A District 3 this week by beating Santa Teresa, 42-0. The victory was the eighth in a row for the Wildcats.
The Desert Warriors lost to Deming 42-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Deming's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Wildcats feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. David Padron has thrown for 476 yards and 5 touchdowns this season, while Jerome Sandoval has 23 catches for 459 yards.
The most important game in the league this week will be the match up between Fernie Holguin's team and Centennial. The Wildcats comes into the matchup ranked 22nd in the state, while the Hawks ranks 21st.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when Deming takes on Centennial. The Wildcats have allowed 75 points this season, while Aaron Ocampo's team has given up 167. Deming allowed 0 points last week as it topped Santa Teresa.
The Wildcats led the league in scoring this week after putting up 42 points on Shae Vierra's team. Ismail Garrett ran for 173 yards in the win.
