There's no place like home for Houma Christian, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They put the hurt on the Catholic - N.I. Panthers with a sharp 11-1 win on Tuesday. Considering the Warriors have won five matches by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Lily Cunningham made a splash no matter where she played. She tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Those zero hits allowed gave her a new career-low. She was even better at the plate, scoring a run while going 3-for-3. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in doubles (two).

In other batting news, Houma Christian let Riley Folse and Aubrey Thomas run wild. Folse went a perfect 2-for-2 with five RBI and three runs, while Thomas scored four runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3. That's the most runs Thomas has posted since back in March of 2024. Ansley Molaison was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in two of her three plate appearances.

Houma Christian's victory bumped their record up to 7-9. As for Catholic - N.I., they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-9-1 record this season.

Houma Christian will face off against Bourgeois at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Bourgeois has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.89 runs per game on average), something Houma Christian will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Catholic - N.I., they will challenge Franklin at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
