After a string of eight wins, the River View Raiders's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They took a hard 70-51 fall against Summers County. River View was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Summers County apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2023.
Several Raiders players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Gabe Lester, who scored 15 points. Another player making a difference was Jackson Danielson, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 14 rebounds.
River View's defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-2. As for Summers County, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-7 record this season.
River View didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 69-57 loss vs. Independence on the 9th. Summers County has also already played their next game, a 65-61 victory against Greenbrier West on the 9th.
