St. John is ranked highly in their home state and   on Sunday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Wasatch Academy. The St. John's Cadets fell  70-58 to the Wasatch Academy Tigers. The  game marked the Cadets' lowest-scoring  match so far this season.
 St. John's loss  came despite strong showings from  Omari Witherspoon and  Jymin Veney.  Witherspoon  went 5 for 11 en route to 15 points, while  Veney  went 5 for 9 en route to 11 points plus seven  rebounds and two  steals. Witherspoon is trending in the right direction considering he's  improved his point production for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of  Geremy Clark, who  earned nine points.
 Wasatch Academy was led to victory by  Junior County and  Katrelle Harmon.  County  dropped  a double-double on 15 points and ten  rebounds, while  Harmon  went 6 for 10 en route to 15 points plus seven  rebounds and six  assists.  Augustine Ekwe was another key player,  as he made all 5 shots he took racking up 11 points.
 The  defeat snapped St. John's winning streak at four games  and leaves them with a 4-1 record. As for Wasatch Academy,  the  win made it two in a row for them and  bumps their season record up to 6-2.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. John's will venture away from home to  face off against St. Mary's Ryken  at 7:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. St. John's knows how to get  points on the board -- the  squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five contests -- so hopefully St. Mary's Ryken likes a good challenge. As for Wasatch Academy, they will square off against iSchool of Lewisville at 8:00  p.m.  on Thursday. ISchool of Lewisville will roll in looking for their  seventh straight  victory, something Wasatch Academy surely won't give up without a fight.
