Winning is just a little bit easier when you work as a team to rack up ten more assists than your opponent, a fact the Hauser Jets proved on Tuesday. They blew past Columbus Christian, posting a 62-17 victory at home. That's another feather in the cap for Hauser, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Hauser's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Norah Berkenstock, who scored 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Bella Kilps , who scored 9 points along with 7 assists and 6 rebounds.
Despite the loss, Columbus Christian saw an underclassman step up: Emma Murray scored 11 points along with 6 rebounds. Murray scored a full 64.7% of Columbus Christian's points, the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Hauser has yet to lose a game at home this season, leaving them with a 3-5 record. As for Columbus Christian, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hauser will face off against Indianapolis Lutheran at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Indianapolis Lutheran focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 22 on Tuesday. Columbus Christian is on the road again on Saturday and play against Seven Oaks Classical at 2:00 p.m. on December 2nd.
