Blake Owen Delivers Best Effort of Season
Blake Owen produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Cookeville to the win on Friday. Owen rushed for 232 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 11.0 yards per carry, and also threw for 167 yards and a touchdown on only ten passes, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played.
Owen must have Gallatin's number; he was a force to be reckoned with the last time he faced them too. When Owen last faced the Green Wave back in September of 2023, he rushed for 126 yards, and also threw for 91 yards and two touchdowns.
