After some red-hot offensive attacks in their last three contests, Valor South Austin finally came back down to earth on Friday. They were dealt a 51-6 loss at the hands of Gloria Deo Academy. Valor South Austin was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 43-6.
Meanwhile, NYOS Charter was the victim of a rough 49-24 defeat at the hands of Tribe W on Friday. While losing is never fun, NYOS Charter can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 147th, while Tribe W is ranked 48th).
Lucas Harman put forth a good effort for the losing side as he rushed for 184 yards and a touchdown while picking up 7.4 yards per carry, and also threw for 81 yards and a touchdown.
Valor South Austin's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4, while NYOS Charter's bumped their own down to the opposite: 4-5.
