After flying high against Holland Patent on Saturday, Adirondack came back down to earth. The Wildcats took an 8-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mt. Markham Mustangs on Tuesday. The Wildcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Mustangs apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2023.
Allison Croniser put in work no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching six innings while giving up just one earned (and seven unearned) runs off eight hits. Croniser was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with two RBI.
In other batting news, Skyler Green made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Brea Barrow, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one RBI.
Adirondack's defeat dropped their record down to 10-5. As for Mt. Markham, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season.
