After a string of four wins, the Cedar Valley Aviators's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They took a 68-57 hit to the loss column at the hands of Orem. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Cedar Valley's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Hunter Larson, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds and two steals. Larson is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last five games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Decker Yeager, who scored 11 points.
Cedar Valley's loss dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Orem, their victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-5.
Cedar Valley will take on Timpview at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Orem, they will head out on the road to face off against Spanish Fork at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Spanish Fork will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Utah Rankings (they are ranked 89th, while Orem is ranked 15th).
