Basketball Recap: Polytechnic's Winning Streak Snapped at Three Games

Polytechnic lost against North Central Texas Academy back in November, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Polytechnic Parrots lost to the North Central Texas Academy Pioneers on the road by a 62-48 margin. While losing is never fun, the Parrots can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 866th, while the Pioneers are ranked 160th).

Polytechnic moved to 5-8 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for North Central Texas Academy, their win was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 18-4.

Polytechnic will be home for the holidays to greet Trimble Tech at 7:30 p.m. on December 17th. As for North Central Texas Academy, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Eagle Mountain at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Eagle Mountain will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something North Central Texas Academy surely won't give up without a fight.
