Drew entered their tilt with Mt. Zion on Saturday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They blew past the Mt. Zion Bulldogs 50-28. Drew has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 20 points or more this season.

Drew's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Dereyana Rodgers, who posted 15 points. Rodgers is trending in the right direction considering she's improved her point production for three straight games. Aaliyah Kellman was another key player, dropping a double-double on 11 points and 11 rebounds.

Drew pushed their record up to 9-3 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.0 points per game. As for Mt. Zion, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-7.

Drew and Mt. Zion could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings. Drew (ranked 228th) will meet Midtown (ranked 58th) at 5:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025. Meanwhile, Mt. Zion will face off against Stephenson at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday down 216 places (396 vs. 180).
