There's no place like home for the Las Lomas Knights, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road on Friday. They breezed by McClymonds at home to the tune of 69-41. With that victory, Las Lomas brought their scoring average up to 57.5 points per game.
Leading Las Lomas to victory were Julian Vaucher and Xayne Mojadiddi. Vaucher scored 21 points along with 5 steals, while Mojadiddi went 8 for 14 from beyond the arc en route to 26 points and 1 assists. That makes it two consecutive games in which Vaucher has scored at least 25% of Las Lomas' points. Another player making a difference was Collin Pangilinan, who scored 6 points along with 6 assists and 6 rebounds.
The win got Las Lomas back to even at 1-1. As for McClymonds, their loss dropped their record down to 3-1.
Las Lomas will be playing in front of their home fans against Acalanes at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Acalanes focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Saturday. As for McClymonds, they will take on Perspectives-IIT/Joslin at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Perspectives-IIT/Joslin will be coming into the game with an undefeated record on the line.
