The St. Katharine Drexel Yellowjackets's recent rough patch got a bit rougher  on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They fell  35-22 to Abramson.
  Caitlin Smith and  A'myree Jones certainly did their best on Tuesday to try and avoid the loss.  Smith  dropped  a double-double on 16  rebounds and 11  blocks, while  Jones  scored four points. Smith is absolutely dominating the  rebound category: she's  posted at least eight every time she's  taken the court this season.
 St. Katharine Drexel's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Abramson, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won four of their last five contests,  which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Katharine Drexel will take on East Jefferson at 5:00  p.m.  on Thursday. East Jefferson is coming into the  contest hot, having won their last three games. As for Abramson, they will look to defend their home court  on Tuesday against Carver Collegiate Academy at 6:00  p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another  in Louisiana (Carver Collegiate Academy is ranked 217th, while Abramson is ranked 240th).
