The Winston Red Birds will head out on the road to challenge the Cameron Dragons at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Winston will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Missouri Rankings (they are ranked 384th, while Cameron is ranked 117th).
Two weeks ago, Winston slipped by DeKalb 37-36.
Cameron has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. Their rough 60-40 loss to Lathrop on Monday might stick with them for a while. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Cameron has suffered against Lathrop since January 16, 2017.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Isabel Robinson, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds. Eme Teel was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Winston's win bumped their record up to 3-7. As for Cameron, their defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-3.
