1A District 2 recap October 22, 2013
Adding to the longest winning streak in 1A District 2 this week, Hagerman beat Jal 42-0. The victory was the eighth in a row for the Bobcats.
The Panthers lost to Hagerman 42-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Hagerman's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Bobcats feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Alejandro Ramos has thrown for 1,134 yards and 17 touchdowns this season, while Jessie Rodriguez has 40 catches for 706 yards. Ramos also leads the league in rushing with 522 yards.
The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place Hagerman takes on second place Fort Sumner/House. Last week, Casey Crandall's team defeated Jal, while Fort Sumner/House beat Melrose/Clovis Christian.
The Bobcats led 1A District 2 in scoring this week after putting up 42 points on Fredrick Carter's team. Ramos threw for 187 yards and 3 touchdowns and ran for 39 yards in the win.
