The McNair Mustangs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their 11th straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 83-50 loss at the hands of Towers. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss McNair has suffered since December 1, 2023.
McNair's loss came despite strong showings from Jaylen Williams and Malik Jackson. Williams scored 12 points along with two steals, while Jackson scored 11 points. Another player making a difference was Isaiah Wise, who scored six points along with five steals and three blocks.
McNair's defeat was their sixth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 1-15. As for Towers, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-7.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. McNair will take on Callaway at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Callaway focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 last Saturday. As for Towers, they the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Elite Scholars Academy at 7:30 p.m. on January 19th. Elite Scholars Academy has now lost ten straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 17.
