AAA District 7 recap Oct. 30, 2012
Siegel extended the longest winning streak in AAA District 7 this week by beating Smyrna, 49-0. This was the team's 10th consecutive win.
The Bulldogs made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 4,637 from 4,967. The improvement was the result of 49-0 victory over Smyrna last week.
Oakland's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Patriots feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Emmanuel Smith has thrown for 456 yards and five touchdowns this season, while Kyle Oliver has 24 catches for 309 yards. Darryle Hood Jr. leads the league in rushing with 726 yards.
Two of the top units in the league will face off this week when Oakland takes on Siegel. The Patriots' offense has racked up 279 points this season, earning them the top spot in the league, while Greg Wyant's team has allowed only 75 on the year.
A big matchup in AAA District 7 this week will be when the Stars take on Oakland. At the moment, Siegel is in first, while Josh Harris' team is in fourth.
The Stars led the league in scoring this week after putting up 49 points on Matt Williams' team.
