Evergreen is 8-2 against Golden since January of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Wednesday. The Evergreen Cougars will look to defend their home court against the Golden Demons at 7:30 p.m. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Friday, Evergreen was able to grind out a solid win over Dakota Ridge, taking the game 46-36. The win made it back-to-back wins for Evergreen.
Addison McEvers continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 22 points and 11 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Tatum Buenning, who scored eight points along with nine rebounds and seven assists.
Meanwhile, Golden scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They blew past Alameda 78-7 at home. Golden has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matchups by 23 points or more this season.
Evergreen's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-4. As for Golden, the victory got them back to even at 7-7.
Evergreen might still be hurting after the 54-31 loss they got from Golden in their previous matchup back in February of 2023. Thankfully for Evergreen, Madison Bates (who dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
