On Friday, Gibson County had just enough and edged Sacred Heart of Jesus out 53-50. The win made it back-to-back wins for Gibson County.
Sacred Heart of Jesus' loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was A J Morman, who scored 14 points along with five assists. Bren McKinnie was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Gibson County now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Sacred Heart of Jesus, they now have a losing record at 2-3.
Gibson County will head out on the road to face off against Trinity Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Trinity Christian Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past seven matches -- so hopefully Gibson County likes a good challenge. Sacred Heart of Jesus won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Fayette Ware at 7:30 p.m. on December 9th. Fayette Ware is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 64.8 points per game.
