Green Mountain won the last time they faced Chatfield and things went their way on Saturday too. The Green Mountain Rams snuck past the Chatfield Chargers with a 52-48 win. The victory was familiar territory for the Rams who have now won five matches in a row.

Green Mountain was led to victory by Julia Schafer and Kantyn Pearson. Schafer went 7 of 10 on her way to 14 points and eight rebounds, while Pearson went 7 of 15 on her way to 18 points and five rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Pearson has scored at least a third of Green Mountain's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Grace Herrig, who posted six points and five steals.

Chatfield's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Josie Lynch, who went 6 of 10 on her way to 18 points and four blocks. Lynch is crushing it when it comes to blocks: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Sadie Goodwin was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on ten points and nine steals.

Green Mountain's win was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-2. As for Chatfield, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.

Green Mountain will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Ponderosa at 1:00 p.m. on January 4, 2025. Chatfield will also get a bit of a break before their next game: they'll face off against Rancho Christian at 10:00 a.m. on January 2, 2025. One thing working in Rancho Christian's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last ten contests.
