Barr-Reeve is 5-0 against Eastern Greene since December of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Barr-Reeve Vikings will head out on the road to face off against the Eastern Greene Thunderbirds at 7:30 p.m. Barr-Reeve has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
Barr-Reeve scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 67-33 victory over North Knox on the road. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Barr-Reeve has managed all season.
Braydon Knepp continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 27 points along with three steals. Those three steals set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Seth Wagler, who scored 11 points along with eight assists.
Meanwhile, it was a hard-fought game, but Eastern Greene had to settle for a 51-48 defeat against North Knox on Saturday. Eastern Greene has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Barr-Reeve's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Eastern Greene, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.
Everything went Barr-Reeve's way against Eastern Greene when the teams last played back in December of 2022 as Barr-Reeve made off with a 46-22 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Barr-Reeve since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
