It was a good run, but the Norfolk Catholic Knights unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Monday. They fell 50-38 to Pierce. Norfolk Catholic has not had much luck with Pierce recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Several Knights players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Eva Hartzell, who scored ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Avery Yosten, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds.
Norfolk Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Pierce, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season.
Norfolk Catholic will be playing at home against Scotus at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Pierce, they will head out on the road to take on Clarkson/Leigh at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Clarkson/Leigh will be looking to keep their five-game home win streak alive.
