George Washington found their leader in underclassman Jeremiah Trimm, who scored 27 points along with six rebounds and five steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Trimm has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Chris Fernandez, who scored 20 points.
Several Warriors players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Julian Griffin-Cobbs, who scored ten points along with three steals. Jessie Matthews was another key contributor, scoring six points.
George Washington is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season. As for Far Northeast W, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-14.
George Washington will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Denver South at 7:30 p.m. Hopefully Denver South focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 22 on Friday. Far Northeast W on the road again on Tuesday and play against Rangeview at 7:00 p.m. on January 23rd. Rangeview presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Far Northeast W in Colorado (Rangeview is ranked 123rd, while Far Northeast W is ranked 309th).
