Baseball Recap: Cherokee Wins Going Away Against Rancocas Valley

After only one run in their last match, Cherokee made sure to put some runs up on the board against Rancocas Valley on Thursday. The Chiefs put the hurt on the Red Devils with a sharp 11-2 victory. The Chiefs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 games by seven runs or more this season.

Brett Gable looked comfortable as he struck out eight batters over four innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Brett Chiesa, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Nathan Linden, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.

Cherokee's record now sits at 21-2. As for Rancocas Valley, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-12 record this season.

Cherokee wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 4-2 loss against Delran on the 23rd. Rancocas Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
