In what's become a running theme this season, the San Tan Charter Roadrunners gave their fans yet another huge victory on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 123-51 victory over San Carlos at home. San Tan Charter is really starting to get used to good results now that the team's won 13 straight.
Leading San Tan Charter to victory were Zaire Richardson and Peyton Lubash. Richardson scored 22 points along with four steals, while Lubash scored 25 points along with four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Richardson has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kristo Jackson, who scored 16 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
San Carlos lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Leandro Simbolo, who went 7 for 12 from beyond the arc en route to 23 points and 3 assists. Simbolo hasn't dropped below two steals for eight straight games. Another player making a difference was Leshawn Browning, who scored ten points along with six rebounds and five assists.
San Tan Charter has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 17 of their last 18 games, which provided a nice bump to their 24-3 record this season. As for San Carlos, their defeat dropped their record down to 19-12.
San Tan Charter will be playing at home against the CHARGERS at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Arete Prep has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. San Carlos does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
