The Central Raiders will head out on the road to take on the Flinthills Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Central is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Mustangs in Kansas (the Raiders are ranked 126th, while the Mustangs are ranked 310th).
Central unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 49-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of South Haven.
Meanwhile, Flinthills came up short against the Bluejays on Friday and fell 49-38. Flinthills has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Jake Hunter, who scored 13 points along with four steals. He hasn't dropped below three steals for five straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Charles Farris, who scored seven points along with 11 rebounds.
Central's defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-3-1. Flinthills' record now sits at 6-8.
Central was able to grind out a solid victory over the Mustangs in their previous matchup back in February of 2023, winning 70-57. The rematch might be a little tougher for Central since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
