Softball Recap: Okawville Has No Trouble Against Greenville

Okawville was handed a heart-breaking two-run defeat in their last game, but they sure didn't let that happen against Greenville on Wednesday. The Rockets were the clear victors by an 11-4 margin over the Comets. The Rockets might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight contests by seven runs or more this season.

Jaycie Buss was incredible, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with three stolen bases, four runs, and one double. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Jilien Harre, who went 1-for-4 with three RBI and one run.

Okawville's victory bumped their record up to 12-9. As for Greenville, their loss dropped their record down to 19-7-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Okawville will welcome Freeburg at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Greenville, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Mulberry Grove at 4:30 p.m.
