The Parkview Baptist Eagles will face off against the St. James Wildcats at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Parkview Baptist will be strutting in after a win while St. James will be coming in after a loss.
Parkview Baptist had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 12-run drubbing they dealt Denham Springs on Friday. The Eagles blew past the Yellowjackets 13-1. Considering the Eagles have won nine contests by more than six runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Jalayah Slaughter tossed a big game, striking out ten batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. That's the most strikeouts she has posted over her last eight matches.
