Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Floydada). They breezed by the New Deal Lions to the tune of 92-47 on Tuesday. The win was nothing new for the Whirlwinds as they're now sitting on five straight.

Floydada's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sergio Valadez, who went 10 for 15 on his way to 24 points and three steals. The matchup was Valadez's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Braun Hobbs, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 18 rebounds.

Floydada has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a massive bump to their 15-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.9 points per game. As for New Deal, with the defeat, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 11-11.

Floydada will face off against Abernathy at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. Abernathy will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Floydada surely won't give up without a fight. As for New Deal, they will take on New Home at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
