Lakeside had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Southwest DeKalb Panthers on Saturday. The Vikings haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Southwest DeKalb's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Lakeside has already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Stone Mountain on the 9th. As for Southwest DeKalb, they will square off against Clarkston at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
