Softball Recap: East Kentwood Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

East Kentwood had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the West Ottawa Panthers with a sharp 13-3 win. While the Falcons didn't have the best season last year (they finished 13-16), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

East Kentwood's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-4. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.0 runs over those games. As for West Ottawa, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. East Kentwood is set to take on their familiar foe Hudsonville at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, West Ottawa will challenge rival Grandville at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday.
