West Union took care of business in their home opener (barely) on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-4 victory over the Kossuth Aggies. Grant Martin made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only a hit while striking out ten over four innings pitched.
