The Princeton Tigers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Worth County with a sharp 70-44 win. Given Princeton's advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 119th, while Worth County is ranked 493rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
When it comes to explaining why Worth County lost, one person who can't be blamed is Kynah Steele. Despite the final result, she scored 21 points along with nine rebounds and five steals. That's the first time this season that Steele scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brooklyn Richardson, who scored six points along with two steals.
Princeton's win bumped their record up to 11-3. As for Worth County, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-13.
Princeton will head out on the road to square off against St. Joseph Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Worth County, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against North Harrison at 6:00 p.m. North Harrison is hoping to put an end to a seven-game streak of away losses.
