The Park Ridge Owls will head out on the road to challenge the New Milford Knights at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Park Ridge is coming into the contest hot, having won their last three games.
Last Thursday, Park Ridge got the win against Ridgefield Memorial by a conclusive 55-33.
Meanwhile, New Milford pushed their score all the way to 60 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. The contest between them and Cresskill wasn't particularly close, with New Milford falling 77-60. New Milford has struggled against Cresskill recently, as their contest on Tuesday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Luis Placido, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 15 rebounds. He hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for four straight games. Another player making a difference was Dariel Liranzo, who scored 16 points.
Park Ridge's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-9. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.0 points per game. As for New Milford, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 15-6 record this season.
Park Ridge beat New Milford 58-46 in their previous meeting back in December of 2022. Will Park Ridge repeat their success, or does New Milford have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
