Calvary Christian Academy put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They took down the Holly Grove Christian Eagles 48-30. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 41-26 last Friday.
Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Abby Pruitt, who posted 11 points and three steals. Pruitt is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last seven games she's played. Another player making a difference was Samantha Porter, who put up two points along with six rebounds, five assists, and three steals.
Calvary Christian Academy pushed their record up to 15-0 with the win, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 23.2 points over those games. As for Holly Grove Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 13-7.
