The Greenfield Knights will take on the Clayton Comets at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Greenfield got a massive performance out of Henry Thomas, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those three runs gave Thomas a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Wyatt Moore, who got on base in three of his six plate appearances with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
Greenfield always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .562. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, Clayton came tearing into Saturday's game with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Panthers a 10-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Comets, who have now won five contests by ten runs or more so far this season.
Calvin Madenspacher was a standout: he got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. Clayton is 6-1 when Madenspacher posts two or more runs, but 3-4 otherwise. Grant Buchanan was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.
Greenfield now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Clayton, their victory bumped their record up to 9-5.
Monday's matchup might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Greenfield has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .471. However, it's not like Clayton struggles in that department as they've averaged .456. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
