The Pajaro Valley Grizzlies's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight loss. They lost to St. Francis on the road by a decisive 60-41 margin. Pajaro Valley has not had much luck with St. Francis recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
It was another big night for Sam Braun, who scored 26 points along with five rebounds for St. Francis. Those 26 points set a new season-high mark for him. Jacob Jimenez was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with nine rebounds and six steals.
Pajaro Valley's defeat was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 1-8. As for St. Francis, their win bumped their record up to 1-5.
Pajaro Valley will be home for the holidays to greet Ceiba College Preparatory Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. St. Francis won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Salinas at 1:30 p.m. on December 16th.
