Meanwhile, Libertyville put the finishing touches on their 18th blowout victory of the season on Wednesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Lake Forest 57-27 at home. With Libertyville ahead 36-15 at the half, the game was all but over already.
Waukegan's defeat was their eighth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-15. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 28.5 points per game. As for Libertyville, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 16 of their last 17 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 21-4 record this season.
