The Elite Prep Academy Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matchups by 22 points or more this season. They put the hurt on Eastland Christian with a sharp 49-27 victory on Friday.
It was another big night for Jahmani Salomon, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 12 rebounds. He set a new season high mark in blocks with three. The team also got some help courtesy of Deontae Givens-West, who scored 13 points along with three steals.
Elite Prep Academy is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season. As for Eastland Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.
Elite Prep Academy's road trip will continue as they head out to face Cornerstone Charter Academy at 6:00 p.m. on December 19th. One thing working in Cornerstone Charter Academy's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last six matches. Eastland Christian will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Family Christian Academy on January 23, 2024.
