After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Live Oak, the GEO Next Generation Tigers were happy to have found some success on Thursday. They secured a 53-47 W over South Plaquemines. That result was just more of the same for these two, as GEO Next Generation also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2023.
Quinniece Darby continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 27 points. That makes it four consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of GEO Next Generation's points. Khloe Caines was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
GEO Next Generation has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 17-8 record this season. As for South Plaquemines, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-11.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. GEO Next Generation will take on Sumner at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. South Plaquemines won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Frederick A. Douglass at 5:00 p.m. on January 26th.
