The Dodson Coyotes just played last night, but they'll still head out to face the Nashua Porcupines at 6:00 p.m. on January 26th. The pair have had a bumpy ride up to this point with six consecutive losses for Dodson and ten for Nashua.
On Thursday, Dodson lost to Non Varsity Opponent at home by a decisive 48-33 margin.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Precious Stiffarm, who scored nine points. Another player making a difference was Jazlyn KillEagle, who scored eight points.
Nashua suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Tuesday. They were dealt a 83-7 defeat at the hands of Saco/Whitewater/Hinsdale. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Nashua in their matchups with Saco/Whitewater/Hinsdale: they've now lost nine in a row.
Dodson's loss dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Nashua, their loss dropped their record down to 0-9.
Everything came up roses for Dodson against Nashua in their previous matchup back in December of 2023 as the team secured a 56-14 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Dodson since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
