Softball Recap: Oceanside Wins Going Away Against Vista

Oceanside won the last time they faced Vista and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Pirates walked away with an 8-4 win over the Panthers. That four run margin sets a new team best for the Pirates this season.

Oceanside got a massive performance out of Drew Larsen, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Seaven Fuimaono was another key player, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs.

Oceanside hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least four batters in six consecutive matchups.

Oceanside pushed their record up to 6-10 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Vista, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-9.
