It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 61-26, which was the final score in Jones-Gordon's tilt against Skyline Prep last Thursday. While losing is never fun, Jones-Gordon can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 149th, while Skyline Prep is ranked 28th).
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Sonoran Science Academy, who are still winless after their sixth game. They were outmatched by Arrowhead Christian Academy on the road and fell 59-14. Sonoran Science Academy has not had much luck with Arrowhead Christian Academy recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Jones-Gordon's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Sonoran Science Academy, they bumped their record down to 0-6 with that loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.
