Pasco is 1-9 against the Wildcats since December of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Pasco Pirates' road trip will continue as they head out to face the Wesley Chapel Wildcats at 6:30 p.m. on February 5th. Pasco will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 632nd, while the Wildcats are ranked 145th).
Last Wednesday, Pasco came up short against the Spartans and fell 43-32.
Meanwhile, Wesley Chapel had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 27.5 points), and they went ahead and made it seven on Thursday. They took down Berkeley Prep 55-38. Wesley Chapel pushed the score to 48-25 by the end of the third, a deficit the Buccaneers cut but never quite recovered from.
Pasco's defeat was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-15. As for Wesley Chapel, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-7 record this season.
Pasco was dealt a bruising 91-10 defeat at the hands of the Wildcats in their previous matchup back in December of 2023. The game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Pasco was down 49-7.
