Softball Recap: Tara Has No Trouble Against Baker

Tara won the last time they faced Baker and things went their way on Wednesday too. Tara put the hurt on Baker with a sharp 23-3 victory. The match marked the Trojans' most dominant win of the season.

Tylynn Fleming was incredible, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with one home run, five RBI, and three runs. She has been hot recently, having also posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. Dontrell Rochon was another key player, scoring four runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.

Tara always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .842. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

The victory made it two in a row for Tara and bumps their season record up to 4-5. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 4 runs in those games. As for Baker, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-7.

Looking ahead, Tara will welcome St. Michael at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Tara will need to watch out since St. Michael has now posted at least ten runs in their last four games. As for Baker, they are taking a road trip to challenge Dunham at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. This will be Baker's first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
