The Zephyrhills Christian Academy Warriors fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back victories it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They walked away with a 53-43 win over Academy at the Lakes on Monday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Zephyrhills Christian Academy also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2023.
It was another big night for Jordani Blanc, who scored 26 points along with nine rebounds and three blocks. The contest was his fifth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Blake Alford , who scored 11 points.
Zephyrhills Christian Academy's win ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-6. As for Academy at the Lakes, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-11.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Zephyrhills Christian Academy will square off against Patel at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Academy at the Lakes, they will head out on the road to face off against Lakeside Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
